The H for H Unit in Medical Colleges is a student-volunteer-led collaboration with the charitable body Help for Helpless (H for H), focused on promoting safety awareness, conducting community health outreach through health camps, and engaging in occupational and environmental health studies.
The student volunteers in the H for H Unit will lead various initiatives, translating their academic knowledge into real-world impact. This includes acting as Campus Safety Leaders, where they will lead safety awareness activities, review key safety issues, provide necessary training to peers and staff, and participate in H for H-led ‘Safe Campus’ training sessions across the state.
They will also be heavily involved in Community Health Outreach by actively participating in Health Camps organised by H for H to provide essential services and education to underserved populations. Furthermore, subject to student interest, they may engage in Specialised Health Studies for vital public health research, such as conducting Occupational Health Studies in local workplaces or Environmental Health Studies in areas with pollution concerns.
H for H will be able to provide the following support to the student members who wish to volunteer for H for H;
